This DVD is one hour and 30 min. long. It tell the story of the last B-36 built and it's total restrotation in the Fort Worth Air Force Plant 4, after sitting outside in the weather and the vandalism that almost destroyed it. You will also see the history of the B-36 program. It also has a surprise talk by the first test pilot Beryl Erickson as he was sitting in the pilots seat talking about the first flight and the crash landing he made to save the B-36 program. He made this talk in the aircraft on the 50 anniverary of the first flight. Beryl was unaware he was being filmed.
You will see the aircraft being moved from Fort Worth to the Pima Museum in Tucson. Ariz. #2827 has been restored and was dedicated Oct 2009 and is now on display. You will see the dedication.
